Chalky, faded gel-coat is what Delaware sun and salt water do to a hull over a season. A compound and wax reverses it. We machine-compound the topsides to cut back the oxidation and waterline staining, then finish with a hand wax that restores the deep, wet gloss and lays down a protective layer against the next round of UV and brackish water.
This is the targeted alternative to a full detail — ideal when your interior and topside are already in good shape and the hull is the only thing showing its age. It is also the single best thing you can do to protect resale value, because once oxidation eats through the gel-coat, the fix stops being cosmetic.
Like all our work, it happens where your boat lives. We bring water, power and compound, work by the foot ($20/ft up to 25 feet, $30/ft for 26 to 40 feet), and you can check the finish panel by panel before we pack up.

What causes the chalky white look on my boat's hull?
That chalky, dull surface is gel-coat oxidation — the sun's UV and salt exposure break down the top layer of the gel-coat. Machine compounding removes the oxidized layer and a wax seals the fresh surface so it stays glossy longer.
Will compounding remove waterline stains?
Yes. Our compound-and-wax includes waterline stain treatment, which lifts the brown and yellow staining that builds up where the hull meets the water. Deep, long-standing stains may need extra passes, which we flag before we start.
